Your Role as a Country Sales Representative
Sales representatives are considered Consultants. As a Consultant you will be responsible for finding, growing, and developing current and new customer opportunities. You will also be responsible for assisting in the controlling the orders, logistics, credit management of customers which involves ensuring customers remain current with their invoices and asking for and collecting payment.
Duties and responsibilities
- Establish and/or maintain regular contact with existing purchasers within assigned territory.
- Perform cold calling/prospecting on a continuous basis to ensure new purchaser development.
- On an ongoing basis, investigate customer needs and provide customers with appropriate price and product information through the distribution of special sheets, price lists, flyers, samples and personal product knowledge.
- To assist customers in taking orders and making sure they are completed.
- Providing supply logistic solutions.
- Prepare sales reports and expense accounts, plan work schedules, make appointments, study literature concerning their product and new products coming into the marketplace, and monitor the sales, prices, and products of their competitors
- Participate in sales meetings.
- Search for new potential buyers: market channels, supermarket chains, wholesale and retail grocers, restaurants, hotels, clubs, hospitals, schools, caterers and other institutions
- Involvement in industry trade shows and new product presentation.
- Maintain ongoing communication with supporting manager.
Requirements
We are looking for people who have a passion for sales and have food market experience. More specifically we are looking for candidates who possess general management, food service management and/or outside sales representative experience or other related experience.
Specific Requirements Include:
- Proven track record of sales achievements.
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong presentation and relationship building skills.
- Enthusiastic and detail oriented.
- A positive attitude, a record of meeting goals and establishing customer relations..
- Self-starter, able to work without direct supervision.
Compensation and Benefits
This position is a full commissioned sales position with unlimited earning potential. This is a terrific opportunity for someone who wants to manage his/her own schedule. Pay will be directly proportional to the successful deals. Firstly we offer from 2 -5 % of turnover (the exact commission depends on experience of distributor or representative and product line) in the course of time it will grow.
